ok well we met like 3 months ago and he said he hated humans, but we kind of bonded over coming from apocalypse worlds so that became way less important real fast. and I like magic and he likes magic and both of us hadn't really experienced anything "normal" so we bonded over that too. then I found out he had nowhere to live, and I hated living alone so he moved in. we went through a lot! I've never done this before! he's kind of my best friend now? which I've never had before?
anyway he asked me out at Christmas so it's been like a WEEK so that's why I hadn't thought to tell you I guess
[girl you have no idea, he is drowning in social drama he never got to experience before and it is WILD]
well ig you didn't miss that much since it only just started so there's that
[she missed the whole embarrassing slow-burn courtship everyone has been laughing at for months, but okay.]
yeah I spend a couple of months trying out the different housing options but none of them felt right. I had only just moved into the apartments when Hunter said he hadn't found a place yet, so I stayed.
me too He's very nice! He's a great roommate, too. He's still learning human culture and slang so he might take you too literally at times, but he's very sincere.
tamer? lol. I did tell him about how you drove one to take down the sister krang and he was very impressed. I'm sure it sounded extra crazy bc cranes are so different in his world
should I ask I mean I can imagine a lot without context anyway if he ever screws you over pls tell me I will put the fear of O'Neil into him
[She probably already would have but he was such a nervous mess to begin with she couldn't bring herself to. Less of a shovel talk and more of a shovel smack if required.]
it sure is age old tradition called the shovel talk done by family and close friends generally means we want you to be happy and we're gonna be big mad if he hurts you we're not serious about hurting him dw we just wanna make sure he KNOWS

and does it feel right now?
no subject
it does now yeah. tbh the place has never mattered much to me, we moved around a lot when I was growing up. I'm happy sharing it with Hunter
[something something Asgard is not a place-]

Anyway as you might guess I met Hunter, kid seems nice

cranes are birds??
no subject
yeah, tall graceful things. I mean they're also machinery best used to squash aliens and evil suits of armor, but that's the other meaning.

his world i guess doesn't have metal cranes like my world didn't have bird cranes, so we both misunderstood each other, seems like
you're the second person to threaten that though, is that a thing?

actual shovels then? bc that sounds unreasonable
no subject
or he's good
no shovels involved
unless he REALLY hurts you then no promises
no subject
I'll give myself a shovel talk on his behalf since he doesn't have a whole crowd lining up, and warn him not to worry if he gets any
no subject
A good plan. Especially if he has trouble with human humor, yeah? Just tell him it comes from a place of love. [And trolling.]
no subject
I think he'll take it in stride. I can't tell you the number of times he's said that humans are weird and at this point I agree with him
