[Casey's returning letter is a little clumsy; it's clear that he's been testing out the new quill and inks, but the practice he's gotten with it so far is not so great. Still, look at him trying!]
Dear Hob,
I don't know if Rue told you, but in my world letters don't exist anymore. I've heard they did in the past, but in the time I came from paper and ink didn't exist much anymore. I've been learning to write since around August, and thanks to Rue's patience and encouragement I've gotten a lot better. With this new ink and quill I think I've had to start over again! It's neat to try, though. I keep making a mess. Hopefully this letter is legible.
I'm glad it's exciting for you! I think it's exciting for us as well, for many reasons. It's good to learn about your lives from a different perspective, we get to see a new side of Rue, and you seem like a great person to get to know. We'll have lots of chances to learn more about each other, I'm sure.
For outdoor activities, I've never hiked in mountains before. My world didn't have those either, at least not where I lived. I like walking through the forests here. (We didn't have forests, or trees. I say that phrase a lot, so you may as well get used to it early on.) If you'd like company to try out either here, I'd be happy to join you. I'm sure it'd be fun.
if u pretend this is like Jan 7 idk
